These are delicious and nutritious snack or dessert!   Great for a snack after working out or you are craving that ice cream treat but without the animal fat and cholesterol! Also packed with vitamins and minerals and the benefits of dark chocolate.

Makes 42 Slices – 10 servings (Serving size 4)

Ingredients:

  • 60% Cocoa or greater chocolate chips – 1/2 Cup or 1 Bar
  • Natural Peanut Butter – 1/2 Cup
  • Bananas – 3 medium

Directions:

  • Cut bananas into 1/2 – 3/4 inch slices
  • Melt cocoa in a double boiler
  • Heat peanut butter in microwave safe bowl or double boiler so that it is smooth enough to dip the banana in
  • Dip the banana in the peanut butter and cover sparingly
  • Dip the banana in chocolate
  • Place on a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper
  • Place in freezer
  • After frozen put in a freezer safe container and eat 3-4 when you get a sweet tooth
  • I like to eat them when they have had a little time to thaw a bit!   Yummm!!

Variations:   Add a little natural coconut oil for flavoring (this ads fat but again a good fat)  or you can use coconut flavoring if you wish.

Change it into an banana almost joy with almond butter, coconut flavor or oil,  and roll in non-sweetened coconut!
